Choosing a hotel on Lake Garda: the shore matters
Lake Garda runs for fifty-two kilometres and changes character completely from north to south. From Pozzolengo you can reach Sirmione and the Grottoes of Catullus, Desenzano with its old harbour and Roman Villa, the beaches of the Valtenesi and the Lugana wine cellars in a few minutes. Within half an hour lie Gardaland, Parco Sigurta and the villages of Borghetto sul Mincio and Castellaro Lagusello. Verona airport is around forty minutes away, Bergamo and Milan within a comfortable drive.
